The Hockey Australia Technical Official courses operate within the Australian Sports Commission’s National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS).
The Technical Official structure focuses on delivering training programs with quality presenters/assessors, resources and ongoing professional development. These training programs develop practical technical officiating skills and self-development, and therefore better trained officials to meet the demands of the game.
Port Adelaide, together with our State and Territory Associations, recognises that quality officiating has a significant influence upon players and their hockey experience, hence the recommendation for all Technical Officials to be accredited at an appropriate level.
The three Technical Official accreditations are:
* Level 1
* Level 2
* Level 3
* Level 1 – No pre-requisites
* Level 2 – Level 1 Technical Official accreditation, technical officiating experience in local competition
* Level 3 – Level 2 Technical Official accreditation, or technical officiating experience at Australian Championship level (incl. under-age)
Please contact your local State/Territory Association regarding the Level 1 and 2 Technical Official courses and contact Hockey Australia regarding the Level 3 course.
