PADHC Awarded $500K State Government Funding For Changerooms Upgrade

 

 

The PADHC Management Committee has recently received news of a successful application for a $500,000 grant from the Office for Recreation and Sport to fund new female friendly change rooms at Port Adelaide Hockey Club.

 

This program is designed to help organisations develop sustainable, functional, inclusive and fit for purpose female change room facilities that meet the current and future needs of the SA sporting community. PADHC's current change rooms were built in 1972 and there is an urgent need to upgrade the change rooms to ensure they are female friendly and provide a child safe environment.

 

The project will include 4 unisex player change rooms, 2 unisex umpire/official change rooms, a unisex accessible toilet and a first aid room and is due for completion in March 2018.

 

The club would like to thank the following stakeholders for their support of the application: Port Adelaide Enfield Council, Susan Close MP, Stephen Mullighan MP, Hockey SA, Hockey SA Umpires, Tim Pullman (FIH Olympic/World Cup umpire), Grange Royals Hockey Club, SA Masters Hockey Association, Henley High School, Independent Girls School Sports Association, South Australian Primary School Sport Association and School Sport Australia.
