PADHC has teams for underage players of ages and abilities across our junior teams. Juniors train Tuesday or Thursday evenings, with games on Friday nights or Sunday mornings.
PADHC junior playing fees are covered by the SA Government Sports Vouchers program. Primary school aged children from Reception to Year 9 are eligible for 2x $100 vouchers per calendar year. Find out more about the Sports Vouchers program, or apply for your vouchers, via their website.
PADHC fields teams across almost all Metro senior grades and there is always a place for players of all ages and abilities.
Premier League and Metro 1 teams train together as a high performance squad on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Our Metro 2-6 teams train both in their individual teams, as well as together as a whole squad from 7:30pm on Thursdays.
Fees are paid in two parts: Hockey SA registration and PADHC membership fees. After registering with Hockey SA you will receive your PADHC invoice via email.
We’ve reduced our playing fees in 2026 to make playing hockey at PADHC more affordable for families. We also offer a family cap for families with multiple playing members.
If you would like to play hockey at PADHC, but have concerns about finances, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Treasurer.
More information regarding fees, including dual registration and family rebates, is available on our Registration & Fees page.
Macron is PADHC's official uniform supplier. Uniforms are available to order via the online portal at any time.
The Hockey SA constitution now allows all players to wear playing shorts if they choose, regardless of gender. A female cut of the playing shorts is available for purchase.
Players in Metro 2-6 and Junior teams do not require numbered playing shirts. We ask that players in these teams refrain from purchasing numbered shirts in order to ensure that the ordering system for Premier League and Metro 1 playing numbers remains effective.
Sample uniforms are available to try-on in our clubrooms.
PADHC uses the free Heja app for internal club communications. Game and training availability, team specific messages and club duty allocations are shared via dedicated ‘Teams’.
All players must use Heja to communicate with team and club officials and team mates. Parents can join Heja to manage commitments and availability on behalf of their child/children.
Download Heja from the app store and check out our 'How To' guide to get started.
NOTE: You do not need to purchase Heja Pro to utilise PADHC features. Please ignore any messages that ask you to purchase a subscription.
Hockey SA generally releases the fixture one month before the start of the season.
Fixtures are listed on the Hockey SA website and PADHC will post when these are announced. Coaches and/or team officials will add match fixtures to Heja to manage player availability.
At PADHC, we’re proudly community-run. The atmosphere, facilities, and game-day experience our members enjoy are made possible by the shared efforts of our players, families and volunteers.
We believe many hands make light work and when everyone contributes a little, our club continues to thrive.
Throughout the season, each team is allocated a small number of canteen and/or Thursday night dinner duties (2-3 hours).
These typically involve:
Your team officials will communicate your team’s allocated dates and details via Heja.
These duties are a great way to connect with teammates and other members while contributing to the smooth running of the club.
Our volunteers are the backbone of our club. Whether it’s helping behind the scenes or supporting on game day, volunteering is a fantastic way to meet people and strengthen our community.
There are opportunities to assist with:
Every contribution big or small makes a difference.
We also offer seasonal Canteen* and Bar Manager roles.
These positions involve:
Shifts are allocated based on availability and these are paid opportunities for your time. If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you.
Please note: Bar Managers must hold a current RSA.
*Must be over the age of 16
Umpiring is an important part of our club’s contribution to the competition.
Our PADHC Umpire Pool ensures:
Umpires are paid through the Umpiring Levy included in membership fees.
Under Hockey SA regulations, clubs are required to have a number of Level 1 Certified Umpires each season. PADHC can help facilitate accreditation for those interested (a course fee applies).
If you’d like to join the Umpire Pool or explore accreditation, please get in touch. We’re always looking to grow this area of our club.
At PADHC, contribution isn’t just about tasks; it’s about ownership, pride and connection. By sharing responsibilities across our membership, we:
Our success on the field stems from our dedicated club community. We believe that good teams don't win premierships - great clubs do. We’re grateful for every member who contributes to PADHC.
PADHC has a vibrant social community with several key events throughout the year. Make sure to follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date.
Our main club home day, aptly titled ‘Black and White Day’ is a club open day and celebration of our history and achievements. This is typically held on a Premier League/Metro 1 home day with life members, club sponsors, community figures and other VIPs invited to attend. All club members, past and present, are invited to celebrate.
The other major event on the PADHC calendar is Annual Dinner, our senior awards night. This is held off-site at a local venue and is a formal celebration of the season, including team and club presentations.
Social events and functions are managed by the Social Pies team, an informal sub-committee who strive to create events that our members will love. If you’d like to get involved with the team, please reach out to your team officials or email contact@padhc.com.au. New members are always welcome.
